Jim Loudermilk founder of Erath Publishing began his advertising career in 1972 as a radio marketing consultant for KRBC radio in Abilene, Texas. He was consistently named Salesman of the month for a year. He left the radio advertising to go into home construction. He also worked in the photography business.
In 1982 Jim moved his family to Stephenville to raise them in a small town atmosphere.
He started the Cross Timbers Trading Post as free advertising publication with nothing but a hope and a dream. It grew into the most powerful advertising tool in Erath county.
When the local newspaper couldn’t compete or eliminate the competition they purchased Jim’s publication in1992.
Jim left Stephenville to return to Abilene where he was a partner in the Wylie Bulletin and began Jim Loudermilk Home Construction. He resigned from the Wylie Bulletin to focus on his home construction business.
In 1999 Abilene began to experience a drought and Jim took this as a sign to return to Stephenville where he saw a need for a new marketing tool.
Jim and Will Haggard teamed up in 2005 to fine tune the publication to the Texas Market Connection. And the rest is history!!!
